Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him and grant him victory, this event aims to bring together policymakers, international experts, researchers, investors, and economic stakeholders to address the major technological and energy challenges facing the African continent.<\/p>\n<p>By placing the governance of the revamped CAFRAD on \u201cNEW LEADER, NEW VISION, NEW CAFRAD,\u201d the Director General of CAFRAD, Dr. Coffi Dieudonn\u00e9 Assouvi, proposes a radical approach to \u201cput AI at the service of Africa\u2019s Development and Prosperity,\u201d African Union (AU) Continental Strategy on Artificial Intelligence, July 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Continental Meeting to Envision Africa\u2019s Future<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a global context marked by the acceleration of the digital revolution, the spectacular rise of artificial intelligence (AI), and the frantic race for advanced, sensitive, and emerging technologies, Africa seeks to consolidate its position in global economic and technological transformations. This forum aims to be a platform for strategic dialogue to explore the opportunities offered by AI, digitalization, renewable energies, and connected infrastructures.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco, renowned for its advancements in clean energy and digital transformation, will host this major event in the Kingdom&#8217;s capital. Discussions will focus on digital governance, cybersecurity, energy innovation, employment in the age of AI, and digital skills development in Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>International Experts and Leading Institutions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The forum will witness the participation of numerous Moroccan and international institutions, including UNESCO, the African Union, UNDP, the African Development Bank, as well as several ministries, universities, and strategic companies.<\/p>\n<p>Among the expected participants are world-renowned experts in artificial intelligence, energy systems, cybersecurity, and scientific research, including representatives from MIT, the IEEE, the Ethereum Foundation, and American and European academic institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ambitious Goals for Sustainable Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through this initiative, CAFRAD aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen African digital infrastructure;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting policies related to artificial intelligence;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting renewable energies;<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging innovation and startups;<\/li>\n<li>Developing scientific and academic cooperation;<\/li>\n<li>Fostering a sustainable energy and digital transition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Towards a New Dynamic of International Cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beyond the conferences and thematic panels, this international meeting is expected to lead to official recommendations, the signing of strategic partnerships, and the launch of new cooperation projects between Africa and its international partners.<\/p>\n<p>With this first edition, Rabat is positioning itself as an African hub for technological and energy dialogue, paving the way for a shared vision of an innovative, connected, sustainable, and smart Africa capable of ensuring responsible governance and the ecological transformation of its critical and strategic minerals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAFRAD: A Strategic Hub Serving the Africa of Tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through the organization of this international forum, CAFRAD reaffirms its role as a unique pan-African platform for dialogue, cooperation, the renewal of human intelligence, research and development, and the exchange of expertise between African countries and their international partners. For several decades, the institution has established itself as a true engine of transformation for Africa, fostering encounters between public decision-makers, researchers, international institutions, and economic actors around the major challenges of the continent&#8217;s development. Thanks to its long and rich experience in administrative training, public governance, and South-South cooperation, CAFRAD actively contributes to the development of shared strategic visions for a more integrated, innovative, and future-oriented Africa.
