On 19 November 2025, the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) welcomed students from the Master’s program in Economic and Political Geography of Africa at Mohammed V University of Rabat as part of an academic visit.

This initiative reflected the clear vision of the Master’s Coordinator, Professor Moussa EL MALKI, to strengthen the program’s openness to African institutions and to contemporary dynamics of governance, development, and inter-African cooperation. It offered students a unique opportunity to gain direct insight into the missions of CAFRAD, the first pan-African intergovernmental organization dedicated to administrative modernization and capacity building for the continent’s states.

During the visit, the students were received by CAFRAD’s Director General, Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI, who, in an official presentation of the Centre, outlined the institution’s main areas of intervention, its training programs, and its strategic initiatives in the field of public governance, while also addressing the complex and multifaceted challenges facing the continent. The rich exchanges that followed highlighted the crucial role played by CAFRAD in supporting administrative reforms and producing knowledge in service of Africa’s development.

This immersion represents a significant step in the students’ academic journey, deepening their understanding of the continent’s geopolitical and administrative issues and strengthening synergies between academia and African institutions.

Finally, CAFRAD reaffirms its full readiness to welcome, train, and guide students wishing to pursue research, particularly in strategic areas related to sustainable development in Africa. Through this ongoing openness, the institution aims to support the emergence of new expertise and encourage scientific production that contributes to the continent’s sustainable transformation.
