For the first time in the history of the Pan-African Intergovernmental Organization, and under the leadership of Dr. Coffi Dieudonn\u00e9 Assouvi, Director General, the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) is undertaking a major institutional reform aimed at strengthening its role in the transformation of African public administrations. Adopted at the 60th<\/sup> session of the Governing Board held in Rabat, this initiative marks the beginning of a year of transition and institutional transformation for the period 2025-2026.<\/p>\n

A Pan-African Institution Undergoing a Major Renewal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, CAFRAD aims to reposition itself as a center of excellence capable of supporting the digital, smart, and sustainable transformation of African public and private administrations.<\/p>\n

Its mission includes promoting the modernization of African administrative systems, training senior government officials, and fostering scientific cooperation among the continent’s countries.<\/p>\n

A profound reform to modernize governance<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reform adopted by the Governing Board aims for a comprehensive and profound overhaul of CAFRAD to make it a strategic instrument for public governance in Africa.<\/p>\n

This transformation aims to equip CAFRAD with a more modern, transparent, and effective institutional framework, in line with international governance standards.<\/p>\n

A comprehensive strategic audit to support the transformation<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of this reform, CAFRAD has issued a call for expressions of interest to recruit an agency to conduct a thorough organizational and strategic audit of the institution.<\/p>\n
