Rabat, January 30, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 It was with great honor that the CAFRAD team welcomed His Excellency Eliphas CHINYONGA, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the Kingdom of Morocco, to the headquarters of the Organization in Rabat, Morocco, for a courtesy visit followed by a working session on the opportunities that CAFRAD can offer to his country in the areas of skills and talent development, as well as support for reforms and transformational changes.<\/p>\n

Dr. C. Dieudonn\u00e9 ASSOUVI, Director General of CAFRAD, began the discussion with official and warm words of thanks to the Ambassador for his visit, as well as to the Government of Zambia for its support of CAFRAD and its backing for his election in July 2024. During their exchange, the importance of the Institution in the fields of high-level training for leaders, civil servants, diplomats, judges, managers, and decision-makers, as well as in the construction and modernization of public administration was emphasized. The Director General stressed the relevance of CAFRAD in Africa, which faces complex and multifaceted challenges and is in the process of redefining its identity. It is the principal intergovernmental public service organization on the continent that advances the art, science, teaching, and practice of public administration and both for-profit and non-profit organizations. It is an institution that provides solutions to administrative development issues through a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approach via training, research, documentation, actionable knowledge sharing, and benchmarking.<\/p>\n

The renovated CAFRAD, under the positive and transformational leadership of the newly elected Director General, aims for clear, consistent, and proactive communication with member states through embassies in the Kingdom of Morocco, to raise awareness among governments, partners, and other stakeholders about the critical importance of the Institution, its roadmap, new vision, and activity program.<\/p>\n

His Excellency Eliphas CHINYONGA praised this new dynamic, describing the presented program as important for the continent and its governments, and promised to relay the message of goodwill to his Government. He also emphasized the importance of benchmarking and the exchange of good practices\/innovative practices in the pursuit of the necessary skills to build resilient governments and administrations capable of dealing with global crises.<\/p>\n

He expressed his satisfaction and conviction regarding the irreplaceable role of CAFRAD in the construction of a new development model for Africa.<\/p>\n
