A DELEGATION FROM CAFRAD AT THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL TRANSITION AND ADMINISTRATION REFORM OF THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO TO PREPARE THE EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF CAFRAD BOARD MEETING

The Director General of CAFRAD and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Transition of Morocco held a meeting work at the Ministry on Monday October 28, 2024 from 2 P.M., in order to prepare the extraordinary session of the CAFRAD Board meeting announced at the end of the 59th ordinary session on July 9, 2024

The work meeting between the Director General of CAFRAD, Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Reform of the Administration of the Kingdom, Ms. Sarah El AMRANI, mainly focused on the presentation of the roadmap and the vision of the Director General for the renovated CAFRAD.

Firstly, the Director General of CAFRAD wanted to express his thanks to the outgoing Minister for her unfailing support, and his warm congratulations to the incoming Minister, Professor Amal El FALLAH SERGHOUCHNI for her brilliant appointment as Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the Digital Transition and Administration Reform. In this capacity, she serves as President of the Board of Directors of CAFRAD.

Secondly, the Director General reiterated his availability to collaborate with the new President of the Board of Directors of CAFRAD in order to efficiently implement his vision for CAFRAD in the service of the global, digital and intelligent transformation of African public and private administrations.

The constructive discussions resulted in conclusions shared by both parties. Indeed, the Director General of CAFRAD, under his strategy “CAFRAD, Leader on the Challenges of Public Action of Tomorrow”, presented the objectives, strategic axes and some flagship projects of his roadmap such as the reform of the Pan-African Organization through the overhaul of its founding texts, the organization of a round table of partners and the trans-disciplinary conference on the 60 years of existence.

He therefore stressed that the diagnosis of CAFRAD reveals a worrying situation, hence the imperative to proceed with the reform of the fundamental texts of CAFRAD, by integrating the isolated decisions of the Board of Directors, or by adopting an appropriate organization chart of the Institution. The purpose of the planned reform consists of rehabilitating CAFRAD in its status as an intergovernmental organization and adapting it to the postmodern challenges of public action at the political, legal, strategic and managerial levels.

CAFRAD’s strategic vision is part of structural reform to face competition and new requirements in terms of certification and training, research and documentation in the field of transformation and innovation of public administration. Appreciating the importance of the actions presented, the Secretary General of the ministry said that she will report to the Minister for arrangements to be made as soon as possible. ; It being understood that this board session is essential for the implementation of the roadmap.
