CAFRAD congratulates Namibia on its Independence Day

On the occasion of Namibia’s Independence Day, the Director General of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD), Dr. Coffi Dieudonné Assouvi, and all the staff extend their sincere and warmest congratulations to Her Excellency Mrs. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, and to the Government and people of Namibia.
This commemoration, which marks Namibia’s accession to international sovereignty on March 21, 1990, is a major milestone in the country’s history and symbolizes the courageous struggle of the Namibian people for freedom, dignity, and self-determination. It is an opportunity to recall Namibia’s remarkable journey toward building a strong and stable nation.
CAFRAD commends Namibia for the significant progress it has made since its independence, particularly in consolidating the rule of law, promoting good governance, strengthening public institutions, and improving services for citizens. The organization also welcomes the sustained efforts undertaken to promote socio-economic development, modernize public administration, and integrate best administrative practices.
As a pan-African intergovernmental organization dedicated to promoting public governance and building administrative capacity in Africa, CAFRAD reaffirms its commitment to supporting member states in their efforts to reform and improve public sector performance by sharing expertise and know-how to support sustainable development.
On this auspicious occasion, CAFRAD extends its best wishes for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity to Namibia and reiterates its commitment to further strengthening cooperative relations with this sister nation, in the spirit of solidarity and the sharing of experiences among African nations.
