CAFRAD Congratulates Namibia on the Celebration of Its Independence

On the occasion of Namibia’s Independence Day, the Director General of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD), Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI, together with all staff members, extend their sincere and warm congratulations to Her Excellency Madam Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, as well as to the Government and the Namibian people.

This commemoration, which marks Namibia’s accession to international sovereignty on 21 March 1990, constitutes a major milestone in the country’s history and symbolizes the courageous struggle of the Namibian people for freedom, dignity, and self-determination. It provides an opportunity to recall Namibia’s remarkable journey toward building a strong and stable nation.

CAFRAD wishes to commend the significant progress achieved by Namibia since its independence, particularly in the areas of strengthening the rule of law, promoting good governance, reinforcing public institutions, and improving service delivery to citizens. The organization also welcomes the sustained efforts undertaken in support of socio-economic development, the modernization of public administration, and the integration of best administrative practices.

As a pan-African intergovernmental organization dedicated to the promotion of public governance and the strengthening of administrative capacities in Africa, CAFRAD reaffirms its commitment to supporting Member States in their reform efforts and in enhancing public sector performance, by sharing expertise and know-how to advance sustainable development.

On this auspicious occasion, CAFRAD extends its wishes for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity to Namibia, and reiterates its willingness to further strengthen relations of cooperation with this brotherly country, in a spirit of solidarity and exchange of experiences among African nations.
