CAFRAD delegation warmly received at the Tunisian Embassy in Rabat: discussions on avenues of cooperation.

The Director General of CAFRAD wished to send his warm thanks to the Tunisian Embassy and Government, for their unfailing and constant support to the Institution, and reiterates his request for support for the activities that CAFRAD aims to carry out in the medium and long term.
As part of the cooperation projects discussed, the two parties consulted on several points, including the visibility of CAFRAD vis-à-vis Member States in general, and Tunisia in particular, as well as the adequacy of CAFRAD programs with the regional and national development programs. To this end, Her Excellency suggested to organize activities in collaboration with Tunisian institutions and universities, emphasizing the importance of having a 100% African institution which works for the interest of Africa.
Furthermore, Her Excellency, Ms. YOUSSFI approved and supported the idea of making Tunisia one of the first countries to visit during the implementation of the project of the official tour of the Director General of the Member States. The possibility of expanding CAFRAD partners beyond African countries to the Middle East region was also discussed; it being understood that the need for high-level training of public service agents exists in this region but also the experience of this part of the world in public administration can benefit the Institution. Finally, she advises the need to target consular training, training in demographic dynamics, or the establishment of credible partnerships with the National Schools of Administration (ENA). The CAFRAD delegation welcomes the consideration of these cooperation leads in its new roadmap.
The method of listening and inclusion of Member States is consolidated and giving credibility to the roadmap proposed by the new Director General of CAFRAD.
