CAFRAD present at the Africa Day Celebration Ceremony
Mrs. Eddaaliti Hasnaa, representing CAFRAD’s Director General, took part on Friday, May 24th to the celebration of Africa Day organized by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates in its headquarters in Rabat. The theme of this day was “Education, a true pillar for the development and transformation in Africa”.
In his speech, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, expressed his pleasure to welcome the different diplomatic representatives in Morocco on this special celebration day. Then, he highlighted the importance of Education that is in the center of national programs, thanks to the African Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which made of youths an opportunity to reach progress and lead transformation in the country and the continent.
The Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Mulambo Haimbe, currently on a working visit in Morocco, attended the meeting, and underlined the role of education for young Africans to fortify their critical thinking, and train them to be highly skilled, able to think for themselves and act freely.
Then, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon expressed his pleasure to take part in this important day. He reminded the participants of the role of education in the socialization process of any community, to convey the knowledge and skills necessary for the modern social life of African youth.
The ceremony was then followed by a presentation of Gastronomic Stands organized by the Embassies of African Countries in Rabat, accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco. This presentation took place at the National Library of the Kingdom in Rabat.
