Message from the Director General of CAFRAD on the Occasion of Guinea’s Independence Day Commemoration

Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) extend their warm congratulations to the Republic of Guinea on the occasion of its National Independence Day, celebrated on October 2, 2025.

This historic date marks Guinea’s accession to national and international sovereignty in 1958, becoming the first French-speaking African country to proclaim its independence. It remains a moment of remembrance and pride, in tribute to the courage, dignity, and determination of the Guinean people in their pursuit of freedom and emancipation.

CAFRAD salutes the resilience and vision of the Guinean people, as well as the continued efforts of the national authorities to strengthen public governance, consolidate national unity, and build a modern and prosperous state in service of sustainable development.

On this solemn occasion, CAFRAD reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Republic of Guinea—an active member of the Centre—in its initiatives for administrative reform, public sector training, and institutional capacity building, in alignment with the vision of His Excellency General Mamadi Doumbouya, President of the Republic, and the African aspirations for transformation and shared progress.

CAFRAD extends its wishes for peace, prosperity, and success to the Republic of Guinea, while reiterating its commitment to the Pan-African ideals of solidarity, cooperation, and sustainable development.
