Message from the Director General of CAFRAD on the Occasion of the Independence Day of the Central African Republic

The African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) extends its warmest congratulations to the Central African Republic on the occasion of its National Independence Day, celebrated on August 13, 2025.

This historic date marks the accession of the Central African Republic to national and international sovereignty in 1960, following the end of colonial rule. It is a moment of remembrance, pride, and renewal, paying tribute to the struggles for freedom, dignity, and emancipation of the Central African people.

CAFRAD pays tribute to the resilience of the Central African people and commends the continued efforts of national authorities to consolidate peace, strengthen public governance, and build a modern, inclusive State dedicated to sustainable development.

On this solemn occasion, CAFRAD reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Central African Republic, an active member of the Centre, in its efforts toward administrative reform, training of public officials, and strengthening institutional capacities, in alignment with the goals of transforming the African public sector.

CAFRAD extends its best wishes for peace, prosperity, and success to the Central African Republic, while reaffirming its dedication to the Pan-African ideals of solidarity, cooperation, and shared progress.
