Opening of the Call for Contributions – African Review of Smart Public Administration (RAAPI)

Special Issue 2026: “The Digital, Ecological, and Economic Transformations of and in Africa”

Since 1967, CAFRAD has published the biannual journal Cahiers Africains d’Administration Publique, a leading scientific publication devoted to public administration issues in Africa and around the world. In collaboration with major international organizations such as the African Union, the European Union, the UN, UNDP, UN DESA and the OECD, the journal has contributed for nearly six decades to enriching African literature on governance and public management.

A New Era: Launch of RAAPI in 2026

The year 2026 will mark a major turning point with the transformation of the journal, now titled Revue Africaine d’Administration Publique Intelligente (RAAPI). This evolution responds to the need to adapt its content to the contemporary challenges facing African administrations. RAAPI aims to be a platform of excellence dedicated to ongoing administrative, organizational and societal transformations, as well as development challenges, through a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach.

A Journal Dedicated to Innovation and Foresight

RAAPI will offer analyses on best practices and administrative innovations; digital, intelligent, ecological and sustainable transformations; socio-economic and institutional changes in Africa; geopolitical, geostrategic and geoeconomic issues; as well as global reconfigurations, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence. The journal seeks to be a true strategic monitoring tool and a governance vade mecum enabling the detection and anticipation of risks, threats and opportunities for public action. It will also highlight methods of ethical, transformational, situational and authentic leadership.
