The 59 th Session of CAFRAD’s Board Meeting

On July 9 th , 2024, the 59 th Board Meeting of CAFRAD was held in Rabat, in the presence of the
Ministers in charge of Civil Service, Labor, State and Administrative Reform; Special Advisors in
Ministerial Cabinets in charge of Planning, Innovation and Governance, as well as other eminent
figures from CAFRAD Member States.
During this significant meeting, important decisions were taken, at the same time as important
directions were given to CAFRAD to, among other things, recover the contributions owed by Member
States, propose more attractive activities that are compatible with the expectations of the States,
and implement training programs that will bring additional resources to the Institution.
As a reminder, the Pan-African Intergovernmental Organization CAFRAD is the continent’s first Pan-
African Training and Research Center for the Improvement of Public Administration Systems and
Governance. Its headquarters is located in Morocco, and currently has 36 Member States. CAFRAD is
an important institution in the landscape of Pan-African cooperation, as well as an important
continental tool that works to provide new knowledge that aims to transform public administration
for more accountable, transparent governance, focused on serving citizens.
