Mali reaffirms its commitment to CAFRAD: His Excellency Mr. Fafré CAMARA appointed Permanent Representative of Mali to CAFRAD
In order to further strengthen the ties of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Mali, one of the active member states, and the African Centre for Administrative Training and Development Research (CAFRAD), the Malian Government has appointed His Excellency Mr. Fafré CAMARA as Permanent Representative of Mali to CAFRAD.
The official ceremony of presentation of the Letters of Appointment by His Excellency Ambassador Fafré CAMARA, in his capacity as Permanent Representative of Mali to CAFRAD, was held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the CAFRAD headquarters. The event took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and was marked by warm congratulations from the Director General of CAFRAD.
The day following the presentation ceremony of the Letters of Appointment, the Director General received a delegation from the Government of the Republic of Mali, composed of:
- Diarra Bessi Christine Kéïta, Technical Advisor at the Ministry of State Refoundation, Head of Mission;
- Maïga Kariyato Soumana, Technical Advisor at the same ministry;
- Mamadou DEMBÉLÉ, Commissioner for Institutional Development;
- Sissoko Binta Bah, Representative of the General Secretariat of the Government;
- Bambo TIGANA, First Counselor at the Embassy of Mali in Rabat.
A working meeting was held during this session to discuss the services that CAFRAD can offer Mali to support it in the refoundation of the State, followed by a guided tour of the CAFRAD facilities.
This major event in the history of the new CAFRAD is tangible proof of the success of the strategy to bring CAFRAD closer to its member states, with a view to collecting expectations and needs in order not to be out of step with Africa’s development challenges, but also within a logic of cooperation and support. Accordingly, CAFRAD expresses its deep gratitude for the active commitment and benevolent cooperation of the Government of Mali which, through this appointment, commits to mobilize itself for the implementation and establishment of the new vision of the institution, as well as the new roadmap, in a co-construction approach for the future of CAFRAD and Africa.
