Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) is organizing the first edition of the “International Forum on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transition, Energy and Communication in Africa – Prospects for International Cooperation,” to be held on May 11, 12, and 13, 2026, at CAFRAD headquarters in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
This international forum will serve as a platform for dialogue and the exchange of expertise on issues related to artificial intelligence, digital transition, energy, and digital communication, as well as on the prospects for international cooperation in support of the development of the African continent.
The forum’s program will include scientific sessions and brainstorming sessions with the participation of government officials, experts, researchers, and international specialists, as well as Ministers from the Centre’s member states and representatives of African diplomatic and consular missions accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco and regional and international organizations such as UNDP, ICESCO, and UNESCO in Rabat.
The Forum, under the patronage of Professor Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, is organized in partnership with national and international public and private institutions, as well as specialized civil society organizations. It will bring together public decision-makers, experts, private sector stakeholders, and technical and financial partners to discuss strategic issues related to the drivers of digital transformation, access to energy, and enhanced connectivity in Africa.
On this occasion, the Director General of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD), Dr. Coffi Dieudonné Assouvi, welcomes all national and international media to this unprecedented event, a catalyst for Africa’s global transformation, and invites them to cover the proceedings of this international forum. The official opening ceremony will begin on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
