The Director General of CAFRAD was received in audience by the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Mohammed V, University in Rabat

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Dr. Coffi Dieudonné Assouvi, Director General of CAFRAD, was received in audience by the Dean and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Mohammed V University in Rabat. This meeting formed part of a strategic initiative to reinforce cooperation between CAFRAD and African academic institutions in the health sector.

The discussions focused on establishing a structured partnership framework aimed at transforming health systems across Africa. The proposed collaboration seeks to:

  • Strengthen the capacities and expertise of health professionals in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Support the design and implementation of public health policies that integrate digital innovation and artificial intelligence to build more efficient and inclusive systems.
  • Promote research on emerging health challenges, including new medical issues and technological advancements.
  • Improve the management of pharmaceutical supply chains to ensure reliable access to essential medicines and secure distribution systems throughout the continent.

This initiative underscores CAFRAD’s commitment to fostering innovative and impactful partnerships that place training, research, and governance at the core of public health development in Africa. It also reflects the Center’s determination to advance concrete actions that contribute to sustainable development and strengthen the continent’s health sovereignty.
