CABINET RESHUFFLE IN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO: HER EXCELLENCY MADAME AMAL EL FALLAH SERGHOUCHNI BECOMES THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CAFRAD

The handover ceremony between the outgoing Minister, Mrs. Ghita MEZZOUR, and Mrs. Professor Amal El FALLAH SEGHROUCHNI, appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, as Minister delegate to the Head of Government responsible for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, took place on Wednesday October 23, 2024. As such, she now assumes the function of President of the Board of Directors of CAFRAD.

During his official visit to the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform on Monday October 28, 2024, the new Director-General of CAFRAD Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI sent his sincere congratulations to Her Excellency Ms. EL FALLAH SERGHOUCHNI for her brilliant nomination.  Following the discussions between the Secretary General of the Ministry and Dr. ASSOUVI, an audience was planned with the new President of the Board of Directors of CAFRAD in order to set a date for holding the extraordinary session of the CAFRAD Board, as it was announced on July 9, 2024. This session shall be devoted to the approval by the supreme body of CAFRAD, of the new development strategy of CAFRAD and the 2024-2025 budget of the Institution.

It should be noted that CAFRAD’s new strategic vision concerns its structural and comprehensive reform in order to make it a leader on the public action challenges of tomorrow and a center for the production of innovative ideas, knowledge, skills and talents serving the efficient implementation of the 2063 Agenda of the African Union (AU) and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), as well as support for Member States in their specific needs in training, research & development, and innovation in a context of complex and rapid transformations.
