The CAFRAD delegation was received in an audience on November 19, 2024 at the Embassy of the Gambia by His Excellency Mr. Abdoulie BAH, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., This visit to the Embassy of the Gambia is thus the tenth stop point of the diplomatic tour, which is part of the new dynamic of proximity initiated by the new Director General of CAFRAD.
The exchanges between CAFRAD and the Embassy were very productive, focused on the presentation of the five (5) axes of the new CAFRAD strategy by Dr. ASSOUVI. This new strategy is part of CAFRAD’s vision of active listening-proximity-pragmatism-trust and bringing it closer to member states, in order to better meeting their needs, particularly in terms of training and capacity building programs. His Excellency Mr. BAH expressed an interest in this.
In addition, the discussions focused on the next tour of Member States, in which His Excellency Mr. BAH expressed keen interest, promising to serve as an intermediary for the official visit of CAFRAD in Gambia.
The open and warm welcome that Gambian diplomats gave to CAFRAD reflects the country’s goodwill to support the new activities carried out by CAFRAD, particularly the field of high-level training capable of equipping senior civil servants to face the multiple challenges of postmodern public action and the new multidisciplinary transformations which are imposed on all countries in the world, but with particular acuteness the African countries which are called to evolve in the VUCA environment (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous).
