CAFRAD Honored in Casablanca: Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI Recognized for His Commitment to South-South Cooperation

Casablanca, May 20, 2026 – Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI, Director General of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD), participated in a scientific seminar on the theme: “The Role of Civil Society in Comprehensive African Territorial Development,” held at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of Hassan II University in Casablanca.

This high-level academic meeting was hosted by the President of the Noor Association for Moroccan-African Friendship and the Pan-African Movement of Leaders (MPL). It brought together academics, institutional leaders, civil society actors, and prominent figures committed to promoting sustainable development and African integration.

On this occasion, Dr. ASSOUVI made a remarkable contribution to the discussions on the challenges and prospects of territorial development in Africa, highlighting the importance of participatory governance, institutional capacity building, and the strategic role of South-South cooperation in achieving the continent’s development goals.

In recognition of his unwavering commitment and significant contribution to promoting South-South cooperation, he was formally awarded a certificate of recognition. This distinction reflects the organizers’ appreciation for the efforts of the Director General of CAFRAD in fostering closer ties between African countries and sharing best practices in governance and development.

The ceremony took place in an atmosphere of fraternity and African solidarity, under the blessing and distinguished presence of the Governor of the Hay Mohammadi-Aïn Sebaâ Prefecture, whose support contributed to the success of this event. This participation of Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI confirms once again the major role of CAFRAD as a leading pan-African institution in promoting administrative excellence, territorial development and strengthening South-South cooperation.
