RAMADAN KAREEM – CAFRAD PRESENTS ITS WISHES FOR THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN
On the occasion of the celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, starting Sunday, March 2nd, in Morocco, the Director General of CAFRAD expresses his solidarity with His Majesty, may God glorify Him, the Moroccan people, the entire African Muslim community, and the Muslim community worldwide.
As part of observing Ramadan, the fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. The Director General of CAFRAD extends his best wishes for a blessed Ramadan to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay EL HASSAN, to His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and to the entire Royal Family, the Government, and the Moroccan people. May God strengthen and reveal Himself more to all the faithful Muslims during this period of “Ramadan, the month of solidarity, sharing, and charity.”
Nothing is greater than the expression of Faith, which allows us to renew our covenant with God Almighty, Allah, and His Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), to cultivate peace and develop humanity.
In a postmodern world, which has become too techno-solutionist (generative artificial intelligence), too materialistic (excessive capitalist productivity, the frantic search for profit, the commodification of life), and dehumanizing, it is important for all human beings to turn towards God, to cling to the Almighty, and to repent so that light, love, and better living together can make the world more humane and livable.
The multifaceted crises affecting the world and threatening our collective existence call upon our collective conscience to work in brotherhood, with the world being one and indivisible. We are living in a time of institutional failure, where collectively created results are unwanted by all (violence, poverty, climate change, epidemics). This era calls for the development of a new consciousness, a new form of collective leadership, a capacity that enables us to approach the various challenges in a much more conscious, intentional, and strategic way.
Another world with a human face is possible, let’s work towards it. CAFRAD is committed to playing its part.
That is why, during this Ramadan period, the Director General expresses his solidarity with all Muslims in Africa and around the world.
