THE NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR OF CAFRAD LISTENS TO MEMBER STATES IN A CO-CONSTRUCTION APPROACH

The CAFRAD delegation, led by the new Director General of CAFRAD, Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI, continues its tour of the embassies of member states. On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the delegation visited the Embassy of Chad, and was received in an official audience by His Excellency Mr. Hassan Adoum BAKHIT HAGGAR, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad. This meeting is part of the strategy of the new Director General to gather the expectations of Member States and define cooperation possibilities between Chad and CAFRAD.

The new Director General, while reiterating his warm gratitude to the Government of Chad through the Embassy, enhanced that CAFRAD is now serving the global, digital and intelligent transformation of African public and private administrations. It provides a pool for producing innovative ideas, actionable knowledge, skills and talents for the implementation of the African Union Agenda of 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the implementation of public policies within member states. CAFRAD aims to become a legitimate hub for training, research, documentation, publication and consulting for postmodern issues of public action in a context of porosity in the public and private sectors. To this end, it is important that CAFRAD approaches Member States to know about their expectations and needs so as not to be at odds with Africa’s development challenges.
His Excellency Mr. BAKHIT HAGGAR approved of the new CAFRAD initiative and assured the Pan-African Intergovernmental Organization of his country’s support for the implementation of ongoing projects, including the organization of the round table of partners, which will be an opportunity to mobilize actors from the diplomatic world in Rabat around the new vision of CAFRAD.
The two parties completed their constructive and fruitful exchanges on the exploration of avenues of collaboration, in particular the search for financing for the creation of intelligent infrastructures, the reinvention of a digital Administration in the context of artificial intelligence and support to the election management body.
